The Last Airbender
So yes, this article is way overdue and I meant to post it sometime last week but I got hung up on other things. Let’s get into this though, I saw The Last Airbender and I’ve had a lot of mixed opinions about it when I came out of the theater. Even during the movie I had a hard time believing what I was seeing. It was a good movie don’t get me wrong, but I didn’t understand how they could take the great and popular TV show and turn it into something so much worse.
If you didn’t figure out by now, the movie was based on a cartoon show called Avatar: The Last Airbender and had a lot of comedy, the characters were fun, and had a greatly addicting storyline. Continue reading…

Hurricane Map
The first hurricane of the 2010 season made land fall in a small town in Mexico. The category two hurricane caused land slides and flooding in Mexico, while in Texas there was flooding and isolated tornadoes.

South Padre, a island just of the main land of Brownsville, thought the north end of the storm was going to cause more damage. The storm cause minimal damage in the area, with flooding, a few downed trees, and a few road closers.
This is the start of a hurricane season that is predicted to be more active, than past years. This storm was also caused damage as far away as Alabama, with the BP oil spill. The storm caused large waves to move the oil closer to the coast of many more states. Continue reading…

Rihanna Magazine Cover
Rihanna’s latest album, Rated R hasn’t exactly been filled with butterflies and rainbows. At least not the colorful ones, and it’s great to see that she’s getting in touch with nature on the cover of teen fashion magazine, Seventeen.
The trend in Rihanna’s music videos has so far been military like in Hard and Russian Roulette, or sleezy like in Rude Boy or Te Amo. The album is supposed to tell of her life and how it is literally Rated R.
This 22 year-old girl had a lot to share:
Emotional Growth: “There’s a balance in my life that wasn’t there before. It’s a really different peace, a different energy.” Continue reading…

The New Digg
Digg has been working hard for a while now to redesign everything there is about the site. The concept is still the same; submit stories and be able to digg or bury them. There are however a few changes such as the features, customizations, design, and interface.
The one thing I am most excited about is the simplicity of the new Digg, and the new features. The design and interface have been simplified to help you figure out how things work and to customize your experience. Oh and since we’re talking about customizations, I’m glad to say that Digg finally let’s you follow profiles and get news from only the sources that you want.
You can watch my new Digg walk-through on YouTube or the embed below. If you want to get an invite, head over to new.digg.com. Continue reading…
