Chris Brown's Michael Jackson Tribute
Sunday was a very special day, as it was the night of the 2010 BET Awards. There was much going on, and the host of the awards show, Queen Latifah made it very interesting with her various acts and clothes.
There were many performances from the biggest artists and BET stars to date. The lineup included those from Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Diddy – Dirty Money, Drake, Trey Songz, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Marvin Sapp, T.I., Kanye West, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, Eminem, T-Pain, Kim Burrell, Yolands Adams, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, and Karen Clark Sheard.
The one that was probably most memorable in people’s minds was Chris Brown, who did a tribute to Michael Jackson. Continue reading…

HootSuite 5
HootSuite is a social media dashboard that lets you easily manage your various social networks in one place. Twitter, Facebook, and Ping.fm are only to name a few and you can even have others collaborate with you and post to your accounts without giving away the password.
Version 5 was released just today though and is something to be really excited about. HootSuite has been a major help for Unveiled Entertainment as it helps manage our various social networks and stay updated on the latest news.
The reason HootSuite5 is such a game changer now though is because of its new features, mostly focusing around HTML5 that only the major browsers support excluding Internet Explorer. There is a new and improved user interface that really makes HootSuite a very sexy platform to use, and the new interface also saves a lot of space allowing more room for your social streams. Not only that, but you can change the themes to suite your mood. Continue reading…

Rdio Music Service
Rdio is a new music service for listening, downloading, and syncing your collection of music. It is so new that it’s not even out yet, so using my beta account I decided to give you a walk-through of the service. You can find the video below or on our YouTube channel.
You should also be happy to know that you will be able to test this service out yourself and start using it free for 3 days. You can of course get a subscription that prices at around $10 a month for all platforms (web, desktop, mobile & ability to sync) but you can also get the $5 monthly plan if you only plan to use the web version.
To get a beta invite from us instead of waiting for them to email you, simply post in the comments area below and say that you want a beta account. Include your email address and we will choose 10 random people. To add a little fun to the mix, include “Rdio Me!” in your comment.
Overall my first impressions of the service are very good. Rather than just creating what everyone expect from a music listening/download service, they added in a lot of social features such as reviews, seeing what your friends are listening to, sharing songs, and so on. Continue reading…

UE Song Player
UE Music is practically completely now. It includes music videos, a wide catalog of artists, your favorite radio stations including our very own inMix, charts, and exclusives like Music Monday. Remember the tracks section though? It was great, but displayed the wrong track info a lot of the times.
The rebuilt tracks section, now called Songs includes a real song library and has a fast and easy-to-use interface. Continue reading…

Kinect for Xbox 360
Project Natal was the code name for a project by Microsoft for their Xbox 360 gaming system. It is meant to change not only gaming, but entertainment in general with its state of the art technology.
You probably already heard of Project Natal, and recently Microsoft finally released the real name for it, which is Kinect. In simple terms, Kinect will connect you to the digital world with new ways of interacting with games and media. The issue with Xbox and other systems is that you’re limited to the controller, but what if you could use your body as the controller? This is what Kinect intends to do. Continue reading…

UE Themes
Besides for the Account tab and user menu, the homepage was not that customizable, let alone the whole site. Starting today though, you will be able to customize your experience with themes.
You are probably already used to the concept of a theme. It’s something you can change on computers, mobile devices, and even websites. It gives you more power as a user to be in control and enjoy things how you want to. Continue reading…

Dre Parker & Mr. Han
The Karate Kid. As you may know, there was an original one that was released in 1984 and it was a definite classic. Two more followed to make it a series and I will never forget Daniel and Mr. Miyagi.
The new one that was released just yesterday stars Jaden Smith (yes, Will Smith’s son) as Dre Parker who is meant to play the role of Daniel from the original movie. Jackie Chan stars as Mr. Han which of course is the role of the great Mr. Miyagi. They both definitely had a lot of chemistry going on when it came to acting and making every single scene believable. The big question here is, was The Karate Kid of today better than the classic that everyone came to love? Also if you never cared about the first, was the new one a great movie in general? FIFA and Control Room who’s a leading producer of global music events announced the artists that will perform at the inaugural FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Celebration Concert. If you haven’t already heard the song “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)” yet, you should as Shakira will probably be performing it at the opening concert. The song is indeed the official theme for FIFA World Cup. The performance will take place at Orlando Stadium in Soweto/Johannesburg during the opening match of the first FIFA World Cup on African soil. Later that evening will be announcements of other artists. Continue reading…

Lady GaGa: Alejandro
It seems like the pop diva Lady GaGa has a story to tell in each one of her music videos, and yet it is hard to find out the exact message. Poker Face was cute and playful, Bad Romance showed GaGa’s view at love, and Telephone was weird yet misunderstood, was GaGa hooking up with Beyonce or something?
Out of all her past music videos however, Alejandro is probably the most controversial. The video premiered today and is already up on most music sites, including UE Music and VEVO. GaGa explains the video to be a “celebration and an admiration of gay love – it confesses my envy of the courage and bravery they require to be together.”
So the music video is “homoerotic” as most people say, and is based on a military theme, but we all know how much respect Lady GaGa has for the gay community, and vice versa. We did not however expect a video that is mostly for the mature audience that includes half naked men in tight underwear. Continue reading…
