2010 is finally here, and you can definitely hope that a lot of good things will happen. 2009 was a great year for music, gaming, movies, and entertainment in general. Not only that, but can you imagine what we’ve gone through this year and decade? A recession, so many deaths, evolutions and revolutions, history being made and stories to tell our children. So let’s see here, 2010? A great year for the entertainment industry, and an even more amazing year for all of us.
2010: Music
Jay-Z will premier his new music video right after midnight, which tells us how fast paced 2010 will be for music. 2009 brought a lot of great things, from Hip Hop to Pop, Rock to Alternative, Jazz to Classic, you can’t say we haven’t experienced some great new songs to add to our collections.
Most importantly though, 2009 had a great loss as well. The Legend and King of Pop died at 50, which was the one and only Michael Jackson. He brought his talent to the world, which we all appreciate. We should not take it for granted, and pass on his music to our children’s children. He inspired many genres of music, obviously Pop but also Hip Hop as well. He worked with some great artists, and I hope to see many more artists come out in 2010 and show themselves to the world to what they got.
So, are you ready? I know I am. New singles, collaborations, albums, music videos, it’s all coming folks, and fast.
2010: Gaming
I am not a gamer, so I cannot say much but I have seen a lot of dramatic improvements in technology in 2009. XBOX is bring Project Natal, along with Playstation and their own revolutionary system with the motion controller. What can we expect in 2010? A better way and improvement to the way we play, and immerse ourselves into virtual worlds and beyond.
2010: Movies
Everybody likes seeing a movie with their family and friends as it’s a great way to spend time. My personal favorites from 2009 were Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, X-Men: Wolverine, Iron Man, 2012, and Avatar. I hope to see more that were great hits from ’09, but 2010 will bring even more movies that will be great hits.
Technology improves with the decades, and so does mankind so let’s hope to see some great stuff in the next few years and most importantly, 2010! Oh and by the way, it’s pronounced twenty ten, not two thousand and ten. It’s faster to say, and makes sense (consider 1910).
Well, my time’s counting down as the broadcasting of the Times Square counts down to the last minutes of 2009. See you next year! Or as by the time I publish this, this year is already 2010. Okay, I’m getting confused now so see you I guess.
